It has been said in reports that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will be put into production this year along with the S9 Plus. There has been rumours that the phone will be debuted at the MWC event in 2018.
The display for the phone came in November, so final assembly should be around January time. Samsung said that the S9 being unveiled at CES is “unlikely”. To sum things up theSamsung Galaxy S9 Release Date could be any time in next year’s first quarter.
As of now, there has been no announcement on price. Although the S9 and S9+ are expected to over £800. The S8 and S8+ were priced at £679 and £779 when they were initially released. So the S9 and S9+ are set to be priced higher.

Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI-security analysist and reliable tech tech speculator has stated the phone will feature a dual lens camera. The camera is expected to be similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The S9 is thought to have a f/1.7 aperture setting. The S9+ with an aperture of f/2.4.
ET news have reported that the camera will be capable of shooting at 1,000fps which is truly astounding for a smartphone. This means that the S9 and S9+ will be able to shoot super slow-mo videos.
It seems that Samsung is developing a new camera sensor and a 3D facial recognition system is expected to be added too.
In terms of zoom, reports are coming out that a 10x optical zoom will be a possibility. This beats the iPhone 8’s 2x optical zoom.
Since the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL, consumers have requested that Samsung improve on the camera’s processing capability. There may be two front facing cameras, with one unlocking the phone using facial recognition and the other doing another function. A Snapdragon 845 will be the processor behind the camera, powering the shutter.

The Galaxy S8/S8+ had an undeniably spectacular display and the S9 and S9+ will improve on that. An 18:5:9 aspect ratio is apparent with a HDR display. Meaning that the display will display colour beautifully. The note version is also expected to be bendable, although the S9/S9+ may even feature a bendable display.
Four different colour options will be available for the phone. Black, purple, gold and blue are the colourways you can opt for at time of purchase. These colours are only speculation as no Samsung have not commented. SamMobile is the source of reference for colours of the S9. Fingerprint sensor has became a staple tool in new smartphones with facial recognition being the new “it factor”. The facial recognition comes in the form of an iris scanner located on the front of the phone. The S8 had the fingerprint sensor located on the back of the phone in with the S9 expected to have the sensor on the back too. Although, there have been some concerns with the exact placement of the scanner. Some reports have said that the fingerprint scanner will be integrated seamlessly on the front display. This is comparable to the current iPhone X display.
The S8 comes built with 64GB of storage and it would be strange if the S9 had a smaller storage unit. So you can expect to see the S9 with 64GB internal storage.
