Introducing The Lamborghini Centenario
Geneva seems to be the supercar hotspot for this week, with the release of the ‘Bugatti Chiron’ yesterday. Today Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini is introducing an extremely limited hypercar — one aptly dubbed the Centenario. Following in the footsteps of Lamborghini’s recent Sesto Elemento delivery in Hong Kong, the Lamborghini Centenario — proceeding on from the Aventador SV — marks the 100-year milestone with sleek carbon fibre construction and a modified, more aerodynamic exterior that’s highlighted by an extended rear wing for added downforce.
Beneath the hood is a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine — partnered with a rear-wheel drive system — capable of whopping 770 horsepower and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds before topping out at 217 mph (just slower than the Bugatti Chiron). The Centenario’s upgrades even extend to the interior as a 10.1-inch touchscreen display now comes with Apple CarPlay support.
Limited to just 40 production models (20 coupés and 20 roadsters), every Centenario has already been spoken for at a starting price of $1.9 million USD. Start saving!
